This position is responsible for the study of electric power resources, load forecasts and transmission requirements using computer models and other analytical methods. Position will also provide support to the System Control Center staff, and other departments regarding transmission, generation and electric market operation issues and analysis. Position is responsible for various electric compliance activities related to transmission design and operation.
Level I - Applies basic engineering techniques for entry-level assignments with review and guidance from a higher level.
Level II - Applies standard engineering methods and techniques to solve problems; moderate guidance and direction is provided and work is normally reviewed from a high level.
Level III - Applies a broad range of engineering skills and techniques, leads projects, and provides direction to lower level engineers.
Level Sr. - Applies developed engineering skills and techniques, manages projects, provides leadership and technical support to co-workers and operates with broad authority for decisions affected assigned functions.
Level I - Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electric).
Level II - Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and two years related work experience.
Level III - Meets Level II requirements and five years of progressively responsible experience and understanding in electric utility operations, maintenance, design and project management.
Level Sr. - Meets Level III requirements and seven years of progressively responsible experience and understanding in electric utility operations, maintenance, design, and project management.
