Summary of Work

Successful candidate will be the primary Administrator of the state’s Enterprise Service Management (ESM) tool. As the ServiceNow Administrator, you will provide day-to-day support of the ServiceNow system (all modules, system components and instances). This will involve collaboration and communication with teams and colleagues both internal and external to the State of North Dakota as well as with our vendors/partners. This position demands a self-starter and a skilled communicator (written and verbal) who can effectively manage and prioritize support tasks on a dynamic team. Individuals within the team demonstrate a high sense of ownership, collaboration, and excellent customer service. Successful administrators are open, empathetic, and possess a broad range of technology knowledge.

Duties and Tasks

•Maintain, update and enhance the Service Management tool including Incident Management, Request Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, Service Catalog, Self-Service Portals, Event Management modules.
•Maintain Forms, Views, Workflows, Groups, Roles and Instance specific documentation for each installed module.
•Manage Instance Security, User/Group Access/Access Control Lists, etc.
•Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, test, and production environments.
•Manage connections between the Service Management tool and other systems such as SCCM, Active Directory, SolarWinds, etc.


Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications

One-year of experience as a Lead ServiceNow System Administrator.

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science computer or management information systems, or a closely related field that included computer science coursework and three years of current, progressive, and specialized work experience supporting, administering and implementing complex, enterprise servers and applications.

Associate’s degree in a computer related field and five years of related experience as stated in the above paragraph may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree and three years of experience requirement. Experience must include at least One year of in-depth understanding and experience in cloud hosting technologies including hands on with IaaS and PaaS.
