Job Description:

Main responsibility involves conducting basic and applied research to broaden applications of spring wheat utilization. Additionally, assist in the preparation of teaching materials, prepare and present laboratory demonstrations for wheat, flour and end-use quality. Assist in the supervision of graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory. Supervise the day-to-day operations of the wheat quality laboratory. Interact and cooperate with other personnel within and outside the Department of Plant Sciences at NDSU.

Minimum Qualifications:
• B.S. in food science, plant science or related discipline
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supervising workers
• Experience with grain quality analysis
• Experience with milling, baking and conducting routine tests for wheat/end use quality
• Experience with analytical equipment
