WATER RESOURCE ENGINEER
Water Resource Engineer position offers great potential for professional growth in a fantastic working environment and an opportunity to provide innovative and creative design solutions to water resource projects. Typical projects involve assisting federal, state and local clients in completing drainage design, stormwater management, floodplain management and other watershed planning for Design-Build and Bid-Build projects.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with North Dakota PE registration (or the ability to obtain registration within 12 months).
You are building on 3 or more years of successful design and consulting experience within the water resources area.
You have technical skills and experience using common hydrologic and hydraulic modeling resources (e.g. HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, SSA).
You have knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, open channel and pipe flow, lake and stream water quality issues, and earthwork and grading plans.
You have experience with GIS and CADD based civil design software.
You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills.
You regularly design storm water detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities, or other hydraulic structures.
You develop watershed master plans and flood mitigation studies.
You analyze storm water or floodplain drainage systems to control erosion, stabilize riverbanks, and repair channel streams.
You prepare environmental documentation for regulatory program compliance.
You interface with various entities ranging from FEMA and USACE to local government.
You perform predesign services, such as feasibility or environmental impact studies.
You create and follow design specifications, plans, maps, project schedules, and budgets.

This position is located in our Minot office; however, occasional travel to other locations and business conferences is expected.
